About the Job

The Flight Follower’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

   

a. Delegated to act on behalf of the Director of Operations for the release of aircraft for flight.

b. Designated as Company Representative to coordinate the daily activities of the airline and is responsible for:

   (1) Monitoring the progress of each flight including its initiation, continuation, diversion, and termination.

   (2) Issuing necessary information for the safety of flight.

   (3) Canceling or delaying a flight if, in his opinion or the opinion of the pilot in command, the flight cannot operate as planned.

   (4) Monitoring the implementation of the Company’s De-Icing/Anti-Icing program.

   (5) Complying with Company Policies and Procedures.

   (6) Issuing Flight Release.

c. Jointly responsible with the pilot in command for preflight planning, delay and dispatch release for flight operations.


The Crew Scheduler’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

   

a. Ensuring all crews are legal for the flight, duty assignments and comply with all FAR’s, Company Manuals, Policies and Procedures.

b. All notifications to all crewmembers.

c. Ensuring information is kept up to date in the Sabre CrewTrac System.

Responsible for scheduling Crews and maintaining the daily flight schedule with discretion of fiscal responsibility, to include all aspects; such as, but not limited to, all Crew positions are covered for all positions for the daily flight schedule ensuring compliance with all Federal Air Regulations, Union Contract limitations and in accordance with all Company policies. This position answers directly to SOC Manager and SOC Supervisors.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain Crewmember schedules in Crew Trac including changes of crew pairings, sick time, Operational changes, travel and any other miscellaneous information.

• Responsible for prompt and professional telephone communication with Crewmembers.

• Replace Crewmember’s when needed due to sick, or at management direction; or correct for Operational schedule changes.

• Assign all open flying to crewmembers.

• Resolve monthly and daily line conflicts.

• Make all schedule adjustments, including travel in Crew Trac, assuring FAR compliance and contractual obligations are met.

• Interact with SOC and SOC supervisors to answer questions and provide up to date information as required.

• Monitor - Not notified and Check-in reports; advise Crewmembers of all schedule changes in timely fashion.

• Monitor all other reports – updating Crew Cards and line up sheet making sure all match. This includes Blue Skies and R drive reports for HR Crewmember pay reports.

• Book any travel or hotels that need changed outside of the normal travel department through CTC Get There program.

• Other duties as assigned by the Manager of Scheduling or Capital Cargo International Airlines.
